I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been busy healing from rotator cuff surgery (more about that another time).
Often we forget that we are the creator of our lives. It’s easy to feel like a victim to life and feel like the stresses of life keep coming AT you…non stop. You might feel like you are constantly playing defense, or perhaps you feel like everything in your world is chaotic and out of your control. I almost fell into that mindset trap after being out on disability for the first few months of the year. I felt stuck physically and financially.
But then I remembered—-this is MY year. MY life. I get to choose how the rest of the year unfolds. And so, I put my victim pity party away and placed my Warrior in charge. My Warrior knows how to take action in a conscious and financially responsible way. My Warrior relies on my intuition, my inner knowing and my desires for direction, and she knows how to makes things happen for me. My Warrior is badass and can get things done right. She is not afraid to face a fear or challenge, and she’s really good at what she does.
This is what I wrote to my coach the other day in my weekly update…
“I booked Memorial Day weekend in Cape May with my kids—I want to keep the tradition of doing something away with them each year.
Also, I booked my summer vacation in Montana (on my vision board)—going with my son. Yay!
And then I saw that Nate Bargatze (my new fav comedian) was coming to NY radio city in October—I purchased two tickets. Will find someone to go with me as I get closer (also on my vision board).
I am creating the experiences I want!! YAY me!”
What I didn’t write in that blurb was that I’ve also reworked some of my finances to make that happen because being financially responsible is being a good Warrior. No fools here.
Behavioral money coaching is one of the tools I use as a coach. This type of money coaching brings an awareness to your money story, how you think and feel about money, and how you behave with your money. Using this process, I help clients shift their current money situation into one that feels more positive, balanced and much less stressful.
Within this process, there are 8 different money archetypes:
Innocent, Victim, Warrior, Martyr, Fool, Creator/artist, Tyrant, and Magician
We all have the ability to access each of these archetypes, but typically one or two archetypes will dominate a person’s money behavior. When you experience financial stress it is often due to repeated self-sabotaging money patterns. The good news is that money doesn’t have to remain stressful. Old stories and old patterns do not have to keep dominating your life. You can change that. It is possible to alter your money script and how you spend money.
How awesome could your life be if you had the money to do the things you’ve always wanted without all the stress?
If you’re curious which money types are active for you right now, take the money type quiz. After the quiz you can schedule a complimentary call with me to gain more insight about what your results mean. (PS this in not a burden for me—I love gifting these kinds of calls.)

So, it doesn’t matter how your year has been going or how you perceive your life to be going up until this point. Whether it be financial, relationships, career choices, or planning new adventures, you get to create your next chapter—-starting now. Let me know how it goes.
Always with love,
Heather
