Spiritually, it’s all good— the good and the bad of life—the amazing and the uncomfortable. All of life is for our learning and our own growth.
But it’s necessary to acknowledge that sometimes life is just NOT OK for the moment. When I say “it’s all good” I mean that years or months later we might appreciate the struggle, the life lesson, or the silver lining. And yet, right now it totally sucks—it’s messy, it’s yucky, and it we just don’t like it!
That’s where I’ve been. Everything is not ok. My world and my reality has been shaken. It’s painful. I’m angry. I’m sad. My heart hurts. Old hurts have bubbled to the surface—annoying! Didn’t I deal with this crap years ago? Yep! But, apparently the Universe has challenged me to dig deeper and get to work.
Anger, my old friend, take a seat. We gotta talk.
The Warrior in me doesn’t hide or pretend it isn’t happening. Would it be easier to eat the pain away or drink the pain away? Absolutely. But, there are healthier ways to cope and manage the situation—my spiritual tool box is large and ready for action.
You too might feel hurt, angry, sad, scared, worried, stuck or overwhelmed right now. Whatever you are going through is temporary even though today it might feel endless. Have compassion for yourself. You deserve it.
It’s ok for you not to feel ok. You’re a Warrior. You’re a badass. You have done hard things before—you will overcome this struggle as well.
