“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” —Mahatma Gandhi
Forgiveness is an essential part of the transformation process. It’s one of those obstacles that can’t be avoided in order for you to grow.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean you forget the hurt—it means that you accept it, learn from it, release it, and move on. Remember, forgiveness is for YOU. Not for the other person.
Forgiveness is a practice, and I have tools to help you. It takes real courage to forgive, and even more courage to forgive someone who has never apologized. However, forgiveness is crucial for your own growth especially when an apology is absent. Years ago I dedicated a month to daily forgiveness. I released all the hurts at that time. Since then I continue to practice forgiveness, and I have had to forgive those without an apology. The lessons remain, but the hurt and negativity have been released.
Don’t forget to forgive yourself too. You deserve that. When I went through my own money coaching core process, I found that I was the person who needed to be forgiven most. In order for me to break my old thoughts, emotions, and behaviors about money, I had to forgive myself for being in the situation I created. Since then, my daily monetary choices have changed, I’m not wasting negative energy beating myself up, and I have a healthier relationship with money.
Who do you need to forgive today so that you can move forward to the future you desire? Let’s do this.
